Traditional Games In Indonesia



engrangDo you know  what is traditional games ? Perhaps many of us don’t know the types of traditional games. In this picture is one of the traditional games in Indonesia. As we know, traditional games now is hard to found. Children's nowadays prefer to play electronic  games, such as play station, or playing computer and games on the internet. In fact, a lot of positives value that can be taken from the traditional game, like it makes children more creative, willing to work together, more healthy because they actively moves while playing, and many more other benefit. Each traditional games known with different names in each region. Indonesia has various traditional toys which are until now still played in several regions.

TRADITIONAL WEDDING



In indonesia, there are many traditional and modern wedding. But now i will explain about traditional wedding. Indonesia has different wedding from another country. In indonesia, the wedding is unique. One of the many traditions and customs in indonesia is what we call “SELAMATAN”. It is a special occasion in indonesia. When we have a wedding, you invite as many people as possible within your village, not only a big of family, or lots of friends. It is more of a social occasion for the whole village. This is just a simple account of a wedding in our village but can change area to area and province to province depending on there customs and traditions.

What is Kebaya ?

Kebaya is a traditional dress worn by the women of Malaysia and Indonesia, where the dress is paired with a sarong or batik.
In ancient times Kebaya is the clothing worn by the women of the royal family group. And in the Dutch colonial period, European women began wearing kebaya as formal dress.
Kebaya is found in the island of Java, but now Kebaya already spread all over Indonesia.

JAIPONGAN DANCE

Jaipongan dance created in 1979, in which the dance is a blend of folk dance with martial art Pencak Silat. This art comes from the province of West Java. Jaipongan folk dance is a dance that reflects the social dance of young people.
Jaipongan dance performances to attract the sympathy of the nobility in West Java at the time.
As a folk dance, dance Jaipongan supported only by a simple musical instrument, dance movements are stiff, and the dancers costumes were still used as a mirror of society.
Dance Jaipongan to change now, is not only famous dance in West Java but also famous throughout Indonesia and even to neighboring countries.

ZAPIN DANCE

Hi guys. Here, I will tell you about zapin dance which is popular not only in Indonesia, but also in another country.




Zapin is one of malay dance.  Zapin is a dance that imbued with religious and educational messages. This traditional dance is highlighted by its beautiful diverse movements originally born out of the skillful movements of the feet as originally performed by Arabic and Persian males. This dance is originally influenced by Arabic religious values. Long time ago, this dance was originally danced by men only, but today women dancers may also be involved. Sometimes, the dance consists of a mix of men and women dancers. The name of zapin dance is different from one place to another place. In Pontianak, it is known as Japin.

KECAK DANCE







There are many traditional dances in Indonesia. Each area have their own traditional dances. It's explain one of the dances. It's about Kecak dance from Bali. Kecak originated in the 1930s. They start dancing to the rhythmic sound of their own voices, their hands raised to the sky and bodies shaking in unison. This is the unique of Kecak. Kecak is the most popular of all Balinese dances. The dance tells about Rama, Sita (Rama's wife), and Rahwana.Visitors rarely leave the island of Bali without first seeing a Kecak performance. Originally the Kecak was just an element of the older Sang Hyang trance dance.
